:: Automation and Control Engineering
Automation and Control Engineering focuses on developing solutions to automate systems and processes. Graduates can work in any field involving automation, ranging from engineering, sanitation, and energy companies to a wide range of industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemical, textile, ceramic, steel, metallurgical, food, and cement industries.

:: Chemistry | Chemistry Education
Chemistry is the science that studies the properties and transformations of matter. The Chemistry program at UFSC Blumenau prepares graduates to work across a wide range of industrial sectors and research laboratories. The Chemistry Education program also qualify graduates to teach in primary and secondary education.

:: Materials Engineering
Materials Engineering focuses on the development of new materials and the improvement of existing ones to meet the demands of a wide range of industrial sectors. In this program, students study the properties of metallic, ceramic, and polymeric materials (such as plastics and rubbers), as well as composite materials (formed by combining two or more of these classes). Graduates primarily work in the manufacturing industry, with opportunities across diverse industrial fields.

:: Mathematics (Education)
The Mathematics (Education) program prepares teachers for primary and secondary education, including rural education, youth and adult education, professional and technological education, and university entrance exam preparation. In addition to a solid foundation in Mathematics, with coursework in calculus and algebra, the program also covers the history of education, current legislation, and key topics for teaching practice, such as human rights and diversity.

Did you know that Brazil is the fourth-largest producer of clothing and the fifth-largest textile producer in the world? The Textile Engineering program prepares students to work with materials and processes that drive innovation in the textile and apparel industry. In addition to opportunities across the sector’s production chain, graduates can also work in the development of technical textile products with diverse applications.
